Walla Walla's Premier Destination Winery A true destination winery in the famed Walla Walla Valley wine
region... and it's open all Set on top of a small knoll overlooking the surrounding vineyards and Mill Creek, Three Rivers Winery's 16-acre site features stunning views of the Blue Mountains in the distance and the nearby Whitman Mission.
Outside, you will find a spacious, wrap-around deck with tables and chairs, another stone-hearth fireplace, and a view of vineyards and the winery's three short holes of golf, meticulously maintained for the enjoyment of winery guests. True to its name, Three Rivers Winery uses grapes grown in appellations influenced by three prominent rivers -- the Columbia, the Snake and the Walla Walla. Currently, grapes are sourced from several select vineyards in diverse geographic zones within the Columbia Valley Appellation, including high quality vineyards in both the Lower Columbia and Walla Walla Valley sub-appellations. Transforming
the fine grape production of these vineyards into premium wines is Holy
Turner, who brings more than a decade of food and wine experience to the Three
Rivers table. With a bachelor's degree in biology from Western Oregon
State Three Rivers' inaugural vintage wine was a Late-Harvest 1999 Gewürztraminer released in the spring of 2000. In 2001, eight more inaugural-vintage wines were released, including a 1999 Sangiovese (Columbia Valley), a 1999 Merlot (Columbia Valley), two 1999 Syrahs (Columbia Valley and Boushey Vineyards), two 1999 Cabernet Sauvignons (Columbia Valley and Champoux Vineyard), a 1999 Meritage Red Wine, and a 1999 Chardonnay, as well as the 2000 Late Harvest Gewürztraminer (Walla Walla Valley) and the 2000 Sangiovese (Pepper Bridge Vineyard). Three Rivers' 1999 Columbia Valley Merlot was awarded a gold medal and the Best of Class award at the 62nd annual Los Angeles County Fair wine competition, widely considered one of the most prestigious of its kind in the United States, with more than 2,000 wines from 400 wineries participating. Following in the style of its first two vintages, Three Rivers continues to produce wines that reflect the best of what its region has to offer. Its reputation continues to grow with each vintage, as does its reputation for award-winning wines and its "must-see" winery of the Walla Walla Valley. Don't miss it.

2006 Riesling
Double Gold-Wine
Press Northwest 'Best of the Best' 2007 Lively acidity, minerality and bright peach flavors encompass this wine’s personality. Made in an off-dry style and enjoyable with a variety of foods, this Riesling is sure to be a crowd pleaser. The grapes for the 2006 Riesling (Yakima Valley) are from Willard Farms, located a few miles north of Prosser, Washington. Fermentation occurred in a stainless steel tank where the temperature was kept at around 50°F to preserve the great fruitiness of the wine. Alcohol: 12%
2006 Meritage White Gold Medal - West Coast Wine Competition 2007 Meritage is an invented word, neither French
nor English, that combines “merit” and “heritage” (and rhymes with
“heritage”). Meritage is a category of handcrafted wines blended from
traditional Bordeaux grape varietals. Our 2006 White Meritage is a blend of
75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Semillon. Like biting into an Asian pear, the
lemon tart flavors explode on the palate. Sur lie aging for 10 months in
small French oak barrels adds depth to the finish. The Sauvignon Blanc
grapes came from Alder Creek Vineyard and Klipsun Vineyard. The Semillon
portion was sourced exclusively from Klipsun Vineyard. The Sauvignon
Blanc and Semillon used in the White Meritage blend were pressed whole
cluster to preserve the integrity of the fruit. It was then barrel fermented
in 100% French oak (19% new), then allowed to sur lie age for eight months,
giving the wine its round mouthfeel. Primary fermentation takes
approximately thirty days to complete and is conducted in a relatively cool
environment (55°F), which helps the wine to retain its fruity
characteristics. 2006 Grenache Grenache is a tough find these days. Not a lot of acreage is planted in Washington State but we’re here to show what it can do. Strawberry, cranberry and earthiness glide into a lingering finish with bright acidity. This is a medium bodied wine that pairs well with a variety of foods. All of the fruit in the 2006 Grenache is from the Milbrandt Brothers Vineyards located in the Wahluke Slope AVA. The Grenache was sourced from Clifton Vineyard, the small amount of Petit Verdot was from North Ridge Vineyard and the Cabernet Sauvignon from Katherine Leone Vineyard. Malolactic fermentation took place in neutral French oak barrels. Alcohol: 14.2% 2005
Malbec-Merlot This is a unique blend of two beautiful grape varietals. Sweet cherry and brambleberry burst in the 50% Malbec 50% Merlot blend. Mouthwatering juicy berry fruit is quite evident, while still maintaining that rustic spicy character. The sources for the 2005 Columbia Valley Malbec-Merlot are from four different vineyards in four different appellations in Washington State. The Malbec was sourced from Snipes Canyon Ranch in the Yakima Valley and North Ridge Vineyard on Wahluke Slope. The Merlot was sourced from Alder Creek Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills and from Dionysus Vineyard in the Columbia Valley appellation. Malolactic fermentation occurred in 50% new French and Hungarian oak. Alcohol: 14.3%
