Pheasant Valley Vineyard & Winery
and Pheasant Valley Orchards B&B

What began in 1979 as a dream in the collective mind's eye of Scott & Gail Hagee was enthusiastically and energetically pursued from the start.  Today, the dream is reality... a reality that lives on 40 acres of agriculturally rich, scenic land on the Oregon side of the Columbia Gorge appellation.

Whether your visit to Pheasant Valley Winery is brief (to taste wines and enjoy the spacious lodge-like environs of the tasting room, with its huge, antique back bar, its fireside lounge and its small gift shop) or extended (including a stay at the Orchards B&B), you are sure to sense something special about vineyard and winery, and it is not just the friendly people.

Neatly planted rows of organically grown pear and apple trees and grape vines surround the visitor, sloping gently upward to the hilltop beyond Pheasant Valley's state-of- the-art winery and tasting room, and its idyllic bed and breakfast.  Take some time for a quiet stroll around the grounds and enjoy the gardens, or walk up the vineyard road, camera in tow, and be rewarded with a sweeping 180º view from the northeast to the southwest... a Northwest scene of evergreen-shrouded, low-lying hills, the towering Mount Hood to the southwest and plenty of vineyards and orchards in between.

Before you leave this lofty viewpoint, listen carefully for the sound of water... water that has been the lifeblood of crops grown in the Hood River Valley for almost 100 years.  The "Farmers Ditch" was constructed to capture and distribute melt waters of Mt. Hood's glaciers for agricultural uses within  the Valley.  It continues to do so today and is a decided plus for organic growers like Scott and Gail Hagee.

Pheasant Valley Vineyard & Winery and Pheasant Valley Orchards B&B have it all... everything needed for a complete and unforgettable Columbia Gorge wine-country experience.

Surrounded by organic pear and apple orchards, wine-grape vineyards and a sweeping, unspoiled view of Oregon's Hood River Valley and Mount Hood, the Pheasant Valley Orchards B&B shares its bucolic setting with Pheasant Valley Vineyards and Winery.  Together, they virtually guarantee long-lived guest memories, no matter what the purpose or the season of  your visit.

With beautiful, snow-covered Mount Hood standing guard year-round, Pheasant Valley makes a stunning and convenient home base for a wide variety of travel adventures.  Wine-country travelers are in easy reach of three Oregon and seven Washington wineries, most located within the boundaries of the shared Columbia Gorge appellation, authorized in July of 2004.  Winter-activities enthusiasts are also well situated only minutes away from skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and plenty of seasonal sightseeing.  In the summer and fall, nearby mountains offer biking and hiking trails, while the nearby Columbia and other rivers offer fishing, windsurfing, jet skiing, and sailing.
