Spectacular Scenery... Spectacular Wines
Having fun and setting their wines apart from the status quo are admitted goals of Linde and Sharon Kester... goals set when Linde retired from 25 years in the electronics industry to pursue his second career -- winemaking.

How do the Kesters accomplish these Chateau Lorane goals simultaneously... having fun and setting their wines apart?   By specializing in small lots of fine wines from traditional varieties as well as unusual and exotic grapes such as Huxelrebe, Leon Millot, Melon de Bourgogne, Pinot Meunier, Durif (AKA Petite Sirah),  Maréchal Foch, and Baco noir.

Many of the winery's unusual grapes are grown on small, family-owned vineyards, often using organic and/or sustainable agricultural practices.  Grapes are minimally processed producing full and distinctive flavors in Chateau Lorane wines.

Whether you come for wine tasting, a winery tour, a picnic or all three, you are sure to enjoy a visit to Chateau Lorane.  The beauty and relaxed atmosphere can be enjoyed from the tasting room or the picnic area, where you'll enjoy overlooking
