Prosser's 12th Annual Art Walk & Wine Gala.  Don't miss the 12th Annual Art Walk & Wine Gala featuring artists from all over the Pacific Northwest.  The warm summer evening offers a perfect setting as 20 local wineries offer their latest vintages.  Area food vendors provide the fare while live jazz fills the air. 35th Vineyard Anniversary Celebration: Walk the Vines Talk the Dirt Tour.  Enjoy an exclusive tour with the McKinley Springs family starting with a Meet & Greet tasting in their new Prosser Tasting Room.  Buckle up for a Private Guided Tour provided by the Andrew’s Family.  Sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful vistas of the Horse Heaven Hills AVA.  Be prepared to walk the vines and talk terroir with the owners, growers and winemaker.  Be an honored guest with a reserved table at their Lounging at the Loft event and take home a signed bottle from their winery library.

The cost is $100 per person for the Wine Tour and includes winery & vineyard tours, round-trip transportation, appetizers, educational wine tasting among the vines, complimentary entry to Lounging at the Loft, and a signed Library Bottle (valued at $50).  Transportation provided by Prosser Chamber of Commerce.  Space is limited, call 509-786-0004 for more information, ticket question or to inquire for special pricing for groups of 5 or more.

Red Ribbon Cutting at Tucannon Cellars.  Tucannon Cellars is very excited to announce the completion, and grand opening, of their new winery in Benton City.  The Ribbon Cutting will occur at 1 pm with attendees experiencing free wine tasting, snacks, entertainment, and winery tours of their new facility.

The Red Ribbon Event will also kick off their Toast to a Cure fundraiser on Saturday where they will feature wood fired pizza, several wine related vendors, raffles, and games with prizes.  There will be live music on their scenic back porch from 5 - 8:00 pm.  Their goal is to raise $10,000 this year for Diabetic Research that is aimed to increase the quality of life for individuals struggling with diabetes.  They will donate $1 for every bottle of wine sold, as well as launching an online donation based campaign.  They will also donate funds collected from the wide array of games and raffles.  For more information call 509-545-9588.

Summer Yakima Valley Vineyard Tour.  Wine Yakima Valley is giving consumers insider access to some of the best grape growers in the state with its annual Yakima Valley Vineyard Tour.  The tour will feature well-respected winemaker and grower David O’Reilly, Owen Roe Vineyard and the Yakima Valley vineyard being recognized for testing and perfecting the up and coming Rhone style grapes, Elephant Mountain vineyard.  The tour includes a picnic in the vineyard high atop the Elephant Mountain Vineyard plateau.  Tickets for each tour are $85 and include wine, food, transportation, and a grower education tour.  imited number of tickets available. Who Done It Drive.  Tri Cities Crime Stoppers 3rd annual “Who Done It? Drive” is bigger and better than ever. This year there are three different routes to choose from with 15 wineries (including Alexandria Nicole) from the Red Mountain and Prosser area. It's easy and fun, simply choose the route you want then ride one of their comfortable busses or select a designated driver going at your own pace.  At each stop you will be provided with clues to this year's crime.  When you reach the Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center you will have a chance the solve the crime, if you are correct then you will be entered into the final drawing for a fully stocked wine fridge.

Registration includes stops at 6 wineries, gift bag at registration, snacks along the route and will conclude at the Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center in Prosser with food provided.  There you will also have the opportunity to bid on some great Silent Auction items as well. Busses have ample room for you to store any purchases you make along the way.  You will be transported back to the starting point from the final stop in Prosser.  Day of event check in is at Southridge Sports and Event Center and begins at 10:00 AM returning by 6:00 PM.

The Great Prosser Balloon Rally.  Hot Air Balloons take to the sky at The Great Prosser Balloon Rally.  The balloons are scheduled to launch at sunrise from the Prosser Washington Airport (weather permitting).  In addition to balloon launches visit the Harvest Festival, live music with dancing, a Farmers Market, BBQ, and a Street Painting Festival.  Afterward visit one of the area restaurants, wineries and wine shops. Apple Valley Kiwanis Wine Country Trek.  The Prosser Kiwanis Wine Country Trek is held in conjunction with the Prosser Balloon Rally Weekend.   The Trek ha a great new route beginning and ending in Prosser, Washington – the heart of wine country.  Roaming through Yakima Valley the trek passes wineries, vineyards, cherry and apple orchards.  Leaving Prosser Saturday morning you will enjoy a pleasant ride along the Yakima River.  Then turn north and pedal past vineyards and orchards with stops for great snacks and lunch at a local winery.  After lunch coast back into Prosser and enjoy tasting wine at local wineries.  In the evening you will be treated to a wonderful prime rib and salmon dinner provided (as always) by the local Knights of Columbus paired with local award winning wines.  After dinner you will have the choice of attending the Balloon Rally “Night Glow” or participate in some of Prosser’s Harvest Festival doings.  Early Sunday morning you will have the opportunity to watch the balloons take off for their morning flight, have breakfast the leave Prosser and head east through more beautiful farm country.  Again, the rest stop snacks are tasty and plentiful.  Riders enjoy lunch at a local winery and then back to Prosser for showers and departure. Wine Tasting & BBQ, HHH Wine Grape Growers Scholarship Fundraiser.  Tour the pristine vineyards of the Horse Heaven Hills AVA, visit their tasting venues and sip delicious, award winning wines.  Tickets available at Horse Heaven Hills Wine Growers.  Al a cart options are available.

Please allow four to five hours to complete the wine trail.  It is suggested that participants bring an ice chest to keep wine purchases cool as well as plenty of water.  Kids under 10 may eat for free at the BBQ.
