Bicyclette de Vin.  A new Corvallis tradition begun by Belle Vallee Winery in 2007.  "Bicyclette de Vin" begins with a tour of Belle Vallee Winery and continues, via bicycle, to several nearby wineries. (Yes, a support vehicle is in attendance!)  The event cost is $42, including commemorative T-shirt and BBQ. Proceeds benefit "Salude," a nonprofit which provides mobile dental and medical care for winery workers. End the day with a relaxing riverfront dinner.

Rhapsody in the Vineyard.  Celebrate Oregon's bountiful wine country in Downtown Corvallis at "Rhapsody in the Vineyard" Downtown wine walk, September 12, 2009 from 4 pm - 7 pm. A DCA-logo “Rhapsody in the Vineyard” wine glass and ID Bracelet are required for sampling. A $5 fee includes your souvenir wine glass and ID bracelet. Scrip and a wine glass neck sling may be purchased at glass outlets. Tastes are .50 cents - $1.50 ea. Downtown Corvallis

12th annual Chefs' Nite Out benefiting Marion-Polk Food Share. The event will be held at Willamette Valley Vineyards. Forty-six restaurants, caterers, wineries and other beverage purveyors will donate their time, talent, and product for this tasting from 4-7 p.m.  Lively entertainment will be heard throughout the venue starring The Severin Sisters, Mark Seymour, and Calico Jack.  Chefs' Nite Out is the major fundraising event for the Marion-Polk Food Share. Marion-Polk Food Share is a charity providing the bulk of the food supply to food pantries and meal sites in Marion and Polk counties. Sponsors cover all of the costs so that 100% of the ticket sales go to help end hunger in our local area.  For more information, visit www.marionpolkfoodshare.org.

August 28 World Of Wine.  Features only wines made from Southern Oregon grapes. More than 750 people will attend the grand public tasting, which accompanies a professionally judged wine competition. The late-August festival allows patrons to sample scores of wines, all of them made with grapes grown locally. Forty-six wineries are expected this year, and they'll be pouring as many as 120 wines overall.   The event, which always sells out, is co-sponsored by the Rogue Valley Winegrowers Association and the Southern Oregon Winery Association.
