 		 35th Annual Newport Seafood & Wine Festival.  This year's theme is “Swingin' on the Vine for the 35th Time” and the
presenting sponsor is Chinook Winds Casino. Over 80 wineries usually participate each year, and dozens of food vendors and arts & crafts booths show off their creations. This massive event is in a tented venue located near the Rouge Ales Brewery at the South Beach Marina in Newport. Pre-sale tickets go on sale December 1. See www.newportchamber.org to purchase these online. Special group rates are available as well. You must be 21 years or older to attend this event and must have valid ID (no exceptions).

 Savor Cannon Beach Wine & Culinary Festival.  Sample Northwest wines and regional cuisine at Savor Cannon Beach Wine & Culinary Festival. Cannon Beach will host wine tastings, wine dinners and a wine walk with tastings throughout town from over 20 Northwest wineries. Wine tasting events occur each day of the festival and restaurants host wine dinners and special pairing menus while local retailers offer their own tasting events ranging from specialty salts to gourmet chocolate over the four days. Saturday afternoon, it's the Winter Wine Tour, a wine walk throughout town as art galleries and stores host Northwest wineries offering tastings to festival participants. A festival ticket offers admission to all of the festival's official tasting events and a glass to participate in the wine walk. Wine dinners are purchased separately and attendees may also purchase tickets for just Saturday's wine walk. Festival events begin with a Thursday night Throwdown, a wine tasting event that showcases selected Northwest wines, this year focusing on red and white blends. Participants taste the wines and select their favorites to choose the top wines and best of show. Although up to 500 tickets are available for the Saturday Wine Tour, the festival tasting events are limited to only 100 and last year's festival tickets sold out in advance. Ticket prices and the complete schedule of festival events have not yet been announced, but those interested can add their names to a ticket announcement email list by emailing their request to info@savorcannonbeach.com.
