Galiano Wine and Beer Festival.  Galiano Island, one of the Gulf Islands between the mainland and Vancouver Island, offers the 22nd Annual Galiano Wine and Beer Festival.

This informal and joyful festival is an open-air event that is a wonderful way to spend a summer afternoon while supporting a worthwhile cause.  Sip wine or beer/ale, taste freshly made finger foods, browse local art exhibits, try your hand at a Silent Auction or 50/50 Draw, or browse through a selection of books and gifts related to the festival.

Help raise the money needed to keep the Galiano Island Health Care Centre up to date and serving the community.  And at $40 a ticket, this is great value!  The price of entrance includes unlimited tasting of many wonderful British Columbia boutique wines and a crested Riedel crystal wine glass.  There’s room to move around, no long waits for the wines and beers/ales you want to taste, and plenty of time to talk with the wine merchants, wine and beer makers.  The event is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the ferry and the Village, to the Community Lions Park.  Due to liquor license restrictions, minors are not allowed on the site. For additional information call 250-539-3753.
