The Fall Okanagan Wine Festival. Warm, desert days
and cool nights. Just what the doctor, or in this case
viticulturist, ordered to ripen the grapes and prepare for
harvest. It also makes it a great time to visit the
Okanagan. For ten days in October, ending on the Canadian
Thanksgiving weekend, the Annual Fall Okanagan Wine Festival is
a celebration of earthly delights with over 165 events happening
around the valley. Experience a vineyard tour, lunch among
the vines or dine on a waterfront patio. Take in a
seminar, learn food and wine pairings from award-winning
Okanagan chefs. Whatever you choose, do it early: events
sell out weeks (and months) in advance. Ranked among the
top 100 events by the American Bus Association, the Fall
Okanagan Wine Festival is growing every year. New wines,
old friends. Gourmet meals under starry skies. And a glass
of great BC wine. |
