Tailgate Party 2014.  24 Naramata wineries, local fine restaurants and live music. This event sells-out well in advance each year, so mark your calendars. This year's party will celebrate the 30th anniversary of filming in Naramata of the iconic Canadian film, My American Cousin.  Sandy Wilson, writer/director of the film, was born and raised in Naramata; she, along with the cast and crew members, will join you and the wineries for an evening evoking Naramata in 1959.  There will be prizes for the best 50s outfit.  There will also be distinctive wines from the Naramata Association's 24 wineries and music from the era to listen and dance to.  Tickets must be purchased in advance. Big Reds at Big White.  Big Reds at Big White is a celebration of Okanagan wine in the winter wonderland of Big White Ski Resort.  Sample wine from over 30 local wineries and enjoy tasty morsels of food from the mountain’s fantastic restaurants as you explore wines from across the region.

The intimate atmosphere allows you to interact with the winemakers and learn all about what makes their wines unique.  Some of the wineries will be sampling new releases, and others will be showcasing their tried and tested varieties.   The event features primarily red wines; however there are always a few white options and even some ice wine to try.  The festival extends over two nights (Saturday December 14th is sold out). Tickets cost $60.
